Tipperary Racecourse hosted Horse Racing Ireland's 'Go Racing Kids' Club' Day Monday, with 270 fifth and sixth class pupils from 10 local schools in attendance. The objective is to educate the children on what goes into preparing for a race meeting, with jockey Connor King, trainer Pat Ryan and Tipperary Racecourse Manager Andrew Hogan on hand to speak.
“We had a great time today with the pupils from our local schools,” commented Hogan. “The activities here educate school children about racing and show them what happens behind-the-scenes at Tipperary in the lead up to a race meeting.”
