With a positive test to Champion sire Fastnet Rock (Aus) at her first season at stud, young Hussonet (USA) mare The Broken Shore (Aus) was secured by agent Dean Hawthorne for A$1.9m as part of the Teeley Dispersal from the Arrowfield Stud consigned draft at the Magic Millions National Broodmare Sale on the Gold Coast. Out of the Canny Lad (Aus) mare Shanth?s Choice (Aus), a three-quarter-sister to G1 winner H?s No Pie Eater (Aus), as well as a half-sister to G1 winners Hurricane Sky (Aus) and Umatilla (Aus), the Broken Shore is a half-sister to three individual G1 winners; Redout?s Choice (Aus), Platinum Scissors (Aus) and Manhattan Rain (Aus).
