Sporting one of the better race records in the early portion of the Keeneland November Sale, Hystericalady (m, 5, Distorted Humor) was expected to be one of the focal points. The striking chestnut mare, winner of the 2007 GI Humana Distaff and a gut-wrenching runner-up in the GI Breeders' Cup Distaff, proved popular and was hammered down to John Ferguson for an even $3 million. The bloodstock agent indicated that the multi-millionaire would likely be retired to the Darley broodmare band, but that the final decision resides with Sheikh Mohammed.
