Reddam Racing LLC’s I’ll Have Another (c, 3, Flower Alley–Arch’s Gal Edith, by Arch) may have been deprived of his opportunity for racing immortality when he was retired on the eve of his Triple Crown attempt in the GI Belmont S., but following a season in which he went four-for-four with wins over Bodemeister (Empire Maker) in the GI Kentucky Derby and GI Preakness S., was recognized with the Eclipse for champion 3-year-old male. The chestnut, who also won the GII Robert B. Lewis S. and GI Santa Anita Derby, received 247 of the 253 first-place votes, with one abstention. I’ll Have Another will stand his first year at stud at Big Red Stud in Japan in 2013.
