Though he has won the first two legs of the Triple Crown, it took a while for California Chrome (Lucky Pulpit) to be in a New York state of mind, as the trip from Maryland up Interstate 95†lasted a little bit longer than anticipated. But the chestnut colt is tucked away neatly on the Belmont backstretch and is scheduled to breeze one week ahead of the big day. Ballydoyle opened its doors to select members of the press, including Dave Keena, who gets the 4-1-1 on the stable's top chances for the rest of the year.
