As expected, trainer Greg Gilchrist has declared Indyanne (Indian Charlie) from the Breeders' Cup Filly & Mare Sprint after the three-year-old filly spiked a fever earlier in the week. On Tuesday, the van that was carrying Indyanne from Gilchrist's Northern California base was caught in an extended traffic jam, and Gilchrist surmised the time his charge spent waiting in the hot weather played a role. Indyanne is owned by David and Jill Heerensperger.
