An 12-month internship at Inglis will be available for 2018 to someone seeking to gain a foothold in the bloodstock industry and more specifically to gain an understanding of the workings of Australia's leading thoroughbred auction house. Applicants are invited up to Dec. 20 and the chosen intern's time will be predominantly spent within the bloodstock division, while being exposed to the company's marketing, insurance, digital and leasing divisions. This unique opportunity will also allow the successful applicant the chance to amass knowledge and understanding of an auctioneer/bloodstock agency. Based primarily in Melbourne, the successful applicant will spend time with industry leaders and will gain valuable experience of pedigree and conformation evaluation which forms an integral part of the selection process for yearlings entered in the company's annual yearling sale series. Interstate travel between the Melbourne and Sydney offices and throughout Australia's primary breeding regions are also facets of the internship. Applications should be emailed to james.price@inglis.com.au no later than Dec. 20 and should include a current C.V. and covering letter. Interviews will be conducted mid-January with the commencement of the Internship set for early to mid-February.
