A total of 44 juveniles breezed at Canterbury Friday in advance of the Inglis Ready 2 Race Sale, which is slated for Oct. 4 at the Oaklands complex in Melbourne. The :11 second mark was broken by no less than 26 2-year-olds, with lot 139, a colt by I Am Invincible (Aus) out of Lustful (Aus) from the Ampulla Lodge consignment, caught in :10.07 for his 200-metre work, a new record breeze-up time for the sale. “I was impressed with the breeze-ups at Cranbourne and Canterbury,” said Inglis Managing Director Mark Webster. “The two different track surfaces, with it being wetter in Melbourne, created some differences in the times, but that is to be expected. Overall, there were a lot of fast times and a lot of well-educated 2-year-olds and that is the key.”
