John Oxley's IN THE MOONLIGHT (TAPIT) makes her debut on the lawn against a deep field of juveniles in Gulfstream's Sunday finale.
The $675,000 Keeneland September graduate is out GSW Moonlight Sonata, who's half sister to Vargas Girl (Deputy Minister), dam of MGISW Abel Tasman (Quality Road). In The Moonlight is a half to MGSW Beethoven (Sky Mesa), GSW Wilburn (Bernardini) and SW La Appassionata (Bernardini). Both In The Moonlight's second dam, Weatly Way (Wheatly Hall), and third dam, Family Way (Cyane), were stakes winners.
An interesting challenger, if she can get into the field off the also eligibles list, is Too Charming (Bernardini). The bay is coming off a ninth place debut behind 'TDN Rising Stars' Rushing Fall (More Than Ready) and Daddy Is a Legend (Scat Daddy) Sept. 16 at Belmont. She is out of MGISW Tout Charmant (Slewvescent) and is a half to GSW Dancing House (Tapit).
