John Oxley and trainer Mark Casse enjoyed success with their first juvenile starter of the year when Classic Empire (Pioneerof the Nile) won at Churchill Wednesday, and PRETTY CITY DANCER (Tapit) looks to keep the ball rolling for the same connections in Louisville Thursday. The $825,000 Keeneland September yearling acquisition–a half-sister to 2007 GI Gazelle S. heroine Lear's Princess (Lear Fan)–has registered just two published works, including a snappy four-furlong gate breeze in :47.80 (10/23) at Keeneland Apr. 26. The gray has been tabbed as the 2-1 morning line favorite and obtains the services of Julien Leparoux, who was also aboard Classic Empire. The red-hot trainer-jockey combination of Ignacio Correas and Paco Lopez teams up with a first-timer of their own in Zetaland SA's Dona Spey (Speightstown). The chestnut's second dam is MGISW Tout Charmant (Slewvescent), herself the dam of this term's GII Barbara Fritchie S. winner Dancing House (Tapit). TJCIS PPs
