Royal Ascot winner and Group 1 sire Intikhab (Red Ransom–Crafty Example, by Crafty Prospector) has been pensioned from stud duties at Sheikh Hamdan's Derrinstown Stud in Ireland at age 22. Campaigned by Godolphin as a 4-year-old, Intikhab enjoyed his most fruitful season on the track that year, winning the G3 Diomed S. and Royal Ascot's Queen Anne S. when it was a Group 2 for trainer Saeed bin Suroor. Intikhab went on to sire three Group 1 winners, the best of those being Snow Fairy (GB), who won six Group 1 races in four countries. Intikhab also sired the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud winner Paita (GB) and G1 Matron S. and G1 Lockinge S. winner Red Evie (Ire), the latter of which went on to produce last year's G1 Breeders' Cup Turf winner Found (Ire) (Galileo {Ire}). Intikhab is also the broodmare sire of multiple Group 1-winning sprinter Gordon Lord Byron (Ire) (Byron {GB}).
