Irish Stallion Trail Dates Announced

Irish Thoroughbred Marketing (ITM) will again coordinate their well-received Irish Stallion Trail which is scheduled for Jan. 27-28 next year. As was the case last year the weekend trail will take place in between two premium days of racing with the Goffs Thyestes Chase meeting at Gowran Park in Kilkenny Jan 26, followed by the G1 BHP Insurances Irish Champion Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday Jan. 29. Over 20 stud farms will open their doors offering breeders the opportunity to see some of the most successful stallions in the world. Commenting on the trail ITM's Marketing Manager Sarah Gavin said, “The 2016 ITM Irish Stallion Trail was a fantastic weekend building on the huge success of 2015. We saw increased numbers visiting the farms, in particular the smaller farms, with a good mix of owners, breeders and racing enthusiasts, in addition to overseas visitors from Britain, France, Italy, Germany and further afield. The full list of participating farms will be released in the coming months.”
