After several days of buzz on Facebook and Twitter, 2010 Horse of the Year Zenyatta (Street Cry {Ire}) gave birth to her first foal, a colt by Bernardini, at approximately 10:10 p.m. Thursday at Lane's End Farm. Owners Jerry and Ann Moss flew to Kentucky in anticipation of the event. “My adorable foal weighed in at 130 pounds, has a white star on his forehead…and some white on his feet,” read the announcement on www.zenyatta.com. Mare and foal are reportedly doing well.
