Tuesday's G3 Prix Miesque at Maisons-Laffitte has attracted a field of eight for France's final group race of the campaign for juveniles. It provides Newmarket-based conditioner Charlie Fellowes with an opportunity to register a career high and he sends forth Sept. 27 Listed Blenheim S. victress Moonlit Show (GB) (Showcasing {GB}), his first black-type scorer, who attempts to become Britain's first winner of a contest inaugurated in 2001. Supplemented at a cost of €5,760, she has raced exclusively at six furlongs in all four starts to date and steps up in class and trip for the first time here. Threats include Sept. 12 Listed Prix Saraca victress Dame du Roi (Ire) (Dark Angel {Ire}), who was a last -out second in the Oct. 5 G3 Prix Thomas Bryon at Saint-Cloud, from the in-form Freddy Head stable; and Pascal Bary trainee Thais (Fr) (Rio de la Plata), who ran sixth when taking on colts in Chantilly's Oct. 2 G1 Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere after shedding maiden status with a degree of panache at Saint-Cloud Sept. 19. She bids to provide her freshman sire (by Rahy) with a first stakes triumph.
