Jockey's Guild and Betfair TVG Partner to Raise Funds for PDJF

The Jockey's Guild and Betfair TVG have agreed to a three-year deal, which includes a series of telethons to raise money and bring awareness to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund and sponsorship of the Guild's Annual Assembly Dec. 11-12 in Las Vegas.

“This telethon is really an extension of our long-term commitment to work with the jockeys who do so much for racing every day,” said Kip Levin, TVG CEO.

“We appreciate the support of Betfair TVG and are excited to help raise funds for the PDJF through the telethon,” said Jockeys' Guild Chairman John Velazquez. “Many jockeys will take part in the telethon by answering the phones when fans call in to make a donation. The PDJF has no dedicated funding from the industry so this telethon will help in providing the monthly monetary assistance to the riders who have suffered catastrophic on-track injuries.”
