The annual Jockeys' Guild Assembly is scheduled for the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada Dec. 12-13, the Guild announced Thursday. The two-day assembly will feature several speakers and panel discussions focusing on lifestyle, fitness and preparing for the future.
A cocktail party will be held at the MGM Grand Monday evening, and the yearly awards banquet–held Tuesday afternoon and sponsored by Horsemen's Track & Equipment–will be emceed in 2016 by Aaron Gryder. Mike Penna of HRRN Radio is the recipient of the Eddie Arcaro Award, the Laffit Pincay, Jr. Award was won by Russell Baze, the Jacky Martin Award will go to Esgar Ramirez and the Courage Award recipient is Stacy Burton. There will be a closed session for members after the luncheon for Board elections.
