John O'Shea is New Darley Australia Trainer

Darley Australia announced today that John O'Shea will become its new trainer when current trainer Peter Snowden steps down to start his own training operation in April. Based at Randwick in Sydney, O'Shea has conditioned 18 Group 1 winners since taking out his license in 1999.
†† “Sheikh Mohammed recently met John O'Shea in Dubai and John was able to appreciate that he will be working for a horseman with a thorough understanding of the thoroughbred business,”†said John Ferguson. “Sheikh Mohammed confirmed that following Peter Snowden's decision to move on from Darley next year, his horses will continue to be in good hands.”
†† O'Shea added: “The opportunity to work with Darley gives me the chance to move to a new level. It is the most coveted training position in Australia if not the world. It is an honour to be considered let alone to be given the position.”
