Trainer Todd Pletcher, who swept the 2-year-old stakes earlier this weekend, sends out a pair of expensive first timers as a coupled entry for St Elias Stable in this test. TERESA Z (Smart Strike), a $635,000 KEESEP purchase, is out of SW With Flying Colors (A.P. Indy), who is a daughter of MGISW millionaire My Flag (Easy Goer) and a half-sister to champion Storm Flag Flying (Storm Cat). This is also the deep Phipps-bred family of champion Personal Ensign (Private Account), and GISWs Miner's Mark (Mr. Prospector), Traditionally (Mr. Prospector) and Mr Speaker (Pulpit). She will be joined in the starting gate by stablemate Sweet Loretta (Tapit), who extended these connections to $750,000 at the 2014 Keeneland November sale. Her SP dam is a half-sister to Canadian champion and GISW Spring in the Air (Spring At Last). Making her second start for Robert LaPenta and the Rodriguez brothers is $500,000 Fasig-Tipton July yearling So Fancy (Tapit), who checked in third on debut at Aqueduct Apr. 20. The chestnut is out of a stakes-winning daughter of GISW Mayo on the Side (French Deputy). TJCIS PPs.-Christie DeBernardis
