KEY OF MAGIC (Justify) is the pick of Charlie Appleby's duo for this race he has won in two of the last three years at the track where Ruling Court debuted in 2024. A $950,000 Keeneland September purchase, the bay is a son of the Graded-Stakes-placed More Fun Again (Arch) whose half-sister is the GII Lake Placid Stakes winner Speaktomeofsummer (Summer Front). Four of the five belong to Appleby and the Gosdens, with the Clarehaven duo headed by Publish (GB) (Kingman {GB}), the first foal out of Juddmonte's $1.7-million 2021 Fasig-Tipton November Sale purchase Nay Lady Nay (No Nay Never), the GII Mrs Revere Stakes winner and GI Flower Bowl Stakes third.
