The Keeneland Library will hold its second Duplicate Book Sale Mar. 11-12 from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. at the Keeneland Entertainment Center. The sale will offer approximately 7,000 items from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries–books, journals, magazines, programs, posters and other materials–for purchase.
Proceeds from the sale will enhance the Library's ability to preserve its collections and to offer outreach and research services.
“The Keeneland Library is excited to present this second edition of the Duplicate Book Sale,” Keeneland Library Director Becky Ryder said. “Our first Duplicate Book Sale two years ago was an overwhelming success, drawing buyers from five states and introducing the Library to a wide range of people from rare-book dealers to casual collectors.”
Material in the sale covers equine art, fiction, horse care, breeding and pedigrees, history, the Kentucky Derby, Breeders' Cup World Championships, biographies, race track media guides, programs and memorabilia.
