KIYOSHI OUT OF 1000 GUINEAS
Qatar Racin?s Kiyoshi (GB) (Dubawi {Ire}), a 16-1 chance for tomorro?s G1 QIPCO 1000 Guineas, has been withdrawn after returning lame from exercise this morning. Trainer Charlie Hills told Racing Post: “She had a canter this morning and came home sound, but just as I was about to go to Newmarket I was told that she was lame behind. She has x-rayed and scanned clean, which is a good sign, and I would think she has picked up some kind of little infection in her hocks.”
Hills indicated that Kiyoshi, the winner of last yearís G3 Albany S. and placegetter in the G1 Moyglare Stud S. and G1 Cheveley Park S., would likely target the G1 Irish 1000 Guineas.
Qatar Racingís Alutiq (Ire) (Kodiac {GB}) has also been removed from the race after spiking a fever.
