Absent from the sales sheets for the first two-thirds of the afternoon, bloodstock agent Demi O'Byrne signed his first ticket of the afternoon on hip 184. Acting on behalf of the Coolmore triumvirate of John Magnier, Michael Tabor and Derrick Smith, O'Byrne was extended to $1.5 million for the dark bay son of Storm Cat–Country Romance (Saint Ballado) from the consignment of Ricky Leppala Inc., agent. Leppala and his partner Carl Bowling paid $300,000 for the February foal at the Keeneland September sale. O'Byrne said the colt would remain in this country and be turned over to trainer Todd Pletcher.
