Limato Not Certain For Lennox

Despite being included in the declarations for the G2 Qatar Lennox S. at Goodwood on Tuesday Limato (Ire) (Tagula {Ire}) is far from a certain starter due to the current ground conditions at the Sussex track. The ground is currently good to soft at Goodwood but Candy is hoping it continues to dry out and will make a late decision and said, “We've declared him but he'll only run if the ground is suitable.” Limato has top class form over the Lennox trip of seven furlongs having won the last two running's of the G1 Qatar Prix de la Foret and his last two performances when third in the G1 Diamond Jubilee S. and second in the G1 Darley July Cup suggest he is operating at the height of his powers. He will need to be though as, if he takes up his engagement on Tuesday he will face stiff opposition from the likes of last year's winner and runner up Dutch Connection (GB) (Dutch Art {GB}) and Home Of The Brave (Ire) (Starspangledbanner {Aus}) while Librisa Breeze (GB) (Mount Nelson {GB}) made a very eye-catching seasonal debut when fourth in the G1 Diamond Jubilee S. at Royal Ascot and looks primed for a bold showing.
