Derrick Smith, Susan Magnier and Michael Tabor's Listen (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), winner of last term's G1 Fillies' Mile at Ascot, has met with a setback and will miss the G1 1000 Guineas, according to Racing Post. Prominent in ante-post lists for the May 4 Classic, the bay sophomore is also highly unlikely to make the June 6 G1 Juddmonte Oaks at Epsom. She is reported to have beenÜslightly stiff' when commencing exercise yesterday and a decision to put her on the easy list was taken after an examination by vet John Halley. “That means she will miss the 1000 Guineas and, as she won't be going to Newmarket, it is unlikely that she will make the Oaks,” trainer Aidan O'Brien told the trade daily. “Hopefully, we will have her back for the second half of the season.”
