Little Doubt In Local Form

By

A fully subscribed field of 16 3-year-old fillies, plus four emergencies, lines up for Saturday's G1 Australasian Oaks, with Kenedna (Aus) (Not A Single Doubt {Aus}) looking to make it three straight wins over the track. The Darren Weir pupil has had a busy eight-start campaign but has not been out of the money in her last five tries. Since shipping from her trainer's base in Victoria, she has won the Listed Laelia S. going a mile on Apr. 8 and the G3 Auraria S. over 1800 metres two weeks later. She will step up a furlong in trip here, and will race beyond 1800 metres for the first time.

Another filly looking to keep a significant win streak alive is Egg Tart (Aus) (Sebring {Aus}), who seeks five in a row for trainer Chris Waller. The bay, who gets the services of Kerrin McEvoy, was last seen taking a Super VOBIS 3-year-old handicap at Flemington on Apr. 25 and makes a significant class jump.

Toffee Nose (Aus) (Toorak Toff {Aus}) is another who has been racing with consistency. She has been on the board all five starts this season and was a last-out winner over 2000 metres at Caulfield on Apr. 22. She tries Group 1 company for the first time, having finished second in Moonee Valley's G3 Alexandra S. on Mar. 24.

Harlow Gold (NZ) (Tavistock {NZ}) looks to keep the Sydney form alive for Lindsay Park. The bay finished third in the G1 Vinery Stud S. on Mar. 25 with the subsequent G1 Coolmore Legacy S. winner Foxplay (Aus) (Foxwedge {Aus}) one spot behind, and she was fourth behind the runaway winner Bonneval (NZ) (Makfi {GB}) in the G1 Australian Oaks on Apr. 8.
