Vinery President and Breeders' Cup Director Tom Ludt has been named chair of the Breeders' Cup search committee as the organization begins the process of finding a successor to president and CEO Greg Avioli. Avioli announced his resignation last Friday. Joining Ludt on the committee are directors Helen Alexander, Antony Beck, Jerry Crawford and Richard Santulli. The committee is expected to update the Breeders' Cup board on the search at its next scheduled meeting in April. Breeders' Cup COO/CFO Matthew Lutz and Breeders' Cup Senior Vice President of Sales Carter Carnegie will serve as the interim Co-Chief Executive Officers and will oversee the company's day-to-day operations during the search process.
