Lunar Tide | Tattersalls Online

Three-year-old gelding Lunar Tide topped the Tattersalls Online May Sale at 34,000gns when purchased by George Baker Racing.

Sold as lot 91, the Baroda Stud-consigned son of Sea The Moon won over the all-weather going a mile at Gowran Park on April 9. His multiple stakes-placed dam Brassica (Australia) is a daughter of the dual stakes-placed Lasilia (Acclamation), and this is the extended family of multiple Group 1 winner Dream Of Dreams (Dream Ahead). He is rated 77p.

George Baker said following the sale, “He looks a nice type who was spotted by a good form student friend of mine and he's for a lovely, fun bunch of owners. We'll get him home and it would be great if he could go to Glorious Goodwood as the owners are based in the south and love the course. Hopefully, he could end up going to Bahrain later in the year.”

A pair of lots made 28,000gns each: lot 61, Director's Cut (Palace Pier) to Ross Burdon Racing and lot 43, Ada Rose (Showcasing) to Amo Racing. The former, rated 78 by Timeform, was consigned by Clarehave Stables, while the latter hailed from the Amo Racing Stables draft. Ada Rose was sold to dissolve a partnership.

A total of 61 lots sold for a gross of 465,100gns. The average was 7,625gns and the median was 4,600gns.
