GI Travers S. entrant Majesto (Tiznow) will be forced to scratch from the “Midsummer Derby” because of an elevated temperature. “Majesto will be a scratch for the Travers because he had a fever this morning,” Carlos Luis Giardinella, racing manager for owner Grupo Seven C Racing Stable, revealed Friday. “He had some tests this morning and they did not come back good. Yesterday, he was good. This morning he coughed and we called the doctor and he came in and checked the horse and said it was not good for the Travers.” The Gustavo Delgado-trained GI Xpressbet.com Florida Derby runner-up was most recently sixth behind three other Travers entrants in the July 29 Curlin S. He was 30-1 on Travis Stone's morning line.
