Trainer Bob Baffert, bidding by phone, got the action going early at Monday's opening session of the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic 2-Year-Olds in Training sale. Baffert went to $390,000 to secure hip 5, a filly by Malibu Moon from the Bridlewood Farm consignment. The bay had RNA'd at $110,000 at FTFFEB, but worked a bullet quarter in :21 3/5 at the under-track show for Midlantic May. She is the second foal from Eden's Causeway (Giant's Causeway), a winning half-sister to champion Paradise Creek (Irish River {Fr}) and Grade I winners Forbidden Apple (Pleasant Colony) and Wild Event (Wild Again).
