The 34th Jim McKay Maryland Million Day will be held at Laurel Park on Saturday, Oct. 19, it was announced Monday. Billed as “Maryland's Day at the Races,” the event features a series of stakes for Maryland-sired horses with purses and awards in excess of $1 million as well as other activities. “Jim McKay Maryland Million Day is a great day of racing that showcases Maryland horses,” said Cricket Goodall, executive director of Maryland Million Ltd. “It is our annual fall celebration for owners, trainers and breeders–and welcomes both dedicated and new fans to Laurel Park.
