An elegant dark bay filly by Medaglia d'Oro, consigned by Craig and Holly Bandoroff's Denali Stud, was knocked down to Whisper Hill Farm's Mandy Pope for $1.45 million to become the new topper at the midway point of day two of the Fasig-Tipton Saratoga Selected Yearling Sale in upstate New York. A February-foaled daughter of SW Whisper to Me (Thunder Gulch), hip 191 is therefore a half-sister to Pin Oak Stud's MGSW Overheard (Macho Uno) and hails from the extended female family of Chris Evert, Chief's Crown and Winning Colors. Hip 191 is bred on the same cross responsible for the recently retired MGISW Mshawish.
