The $1-million filly by Malibu Moon–Shop Again (Wild Again), purchased by Hugo Merry on behalf of owner Andrew Rosen at Keeneland Tuesday, will be sent to the Manton Stables of trainer Brian Meehan in England. “I am very excited that this filly is joining us for next year,” Meehan said on his website. “She was an outstanding individual and she compliments Andrew Rosenís growing band of high class fillies and broodmares.” The move is not unprecedented for Rosen, who has purchased the likes of subsequent GI winner Icon Project (Empire Maker, $775,000 yrl ë06 KEESEP) and MGI/G1SP Theyskensí Theory (Bernardini, $250,000 yrl ë09 FTSAUG) in the United States before sending them over to Manton for their early training and racing. The Malibu Moon filly was consigned to the September sale by Mill Ridge Sales, as agent for Jamm Ltd.
