MISS FRANCE TO TRAIN ON; BC POSSIBLE
G1 1000 Guineas winner Miss France (Ire) (Dansili {GB}), second in Saturday’s G1 Sun Chariot S. at Newmarket, will stay in training next year and has also not been ruled out of a tilt at this year’s Breeders’ Cup.
“She ran really well [in the Sun Chariot] and was the first 3-year-old home amongst a group of very good horses,” noted Anthony Stroud, spokesman for Miss France’s owners, Ballymore Thoroughbred Ltd. “She got a bit unlucky with the ground–she would perhaps have preferred it faster–but the best horse won on the day.”
He added, “The only other possibility this season is at the Breeders’ Cup, but she’s been on the go since May so she has already had quite a demanding year. [Whether she runs again this autumn] will be left to [trainer Andre Fabre].”
