Mo Town (Uncle Mo) was no worse for wear Sunday after annexing Saturday's GII Remsen S. at the Big A. “He's super,” trainer Tony Dutrow said of the 'TDN Rising Star'. “I really don't know how he could look much better–he looks fantastic. He ate everything. He's pushy and a little on the arrogant side this morning, so we've got to be very happy.” Second in a traditionally salty GI Travers S. day maiden at Saratoga Aug. 27, the $200,000 KEESEP yearling aired by seven lengths when stretched to a mile at Belmont Sept. 24, prompting the Coolmore partners to acquire an interest in the colt from Dutrow's Team D. “I talked about before that I hadn't seen this horse draw a deep breath and, even in the winner's circle [Saturday], I watched him and there wasn't any type of cardio issue to talk about,” Dutrow noted. “He just walked in there and stood in there. [It's] pretty amazing just how much cardio fitness this horse must have. I thought Mo Town was very, very professional, and pretty much a workman-type of effort for him.” Dutrow said Mo Town will ship to Payson Park Wednesday for the winter, but could return to New York for the GIII Gotham S. in March.
