Mohaymen Preps for Jim Dandy

Shadwell Stable's Mohaymen (Tapit) breezed a half-mile in :48.87 (6/22) at Saratoga Friday morning in preparation for the venue's GII Jim Dandy S. July 30.

Winner of a quartet of graded events, including the GII Xpressbet.com Fountain of Youth S., the gray was last seen finishing a respectable fourth in the GI Kentucky Derby May 7. He returned to the worktab at Greentree Training Center June 23, with a three-furlong drill in :36.40 over the all weather and followed that with a four-furlong move in :47.60 there July 2.

“He's been working at Greentree the last couple of times, so it was nice to get him on the main track,” said trainer Kiaran McLaughlin. “[It was] just a routine work. Hopefully, we'll continue working weekly and get back in the starting gate July 30.”

McLaughlin also breezed “TDN Rising Star” and recent GI Ogden Phipps S. winner Cavorting (Bernardini), who is targeting the GI Personal Ensign H. Aug. 27. The Stonestreet representative also worked a half-mile over the Spa's main track, covering the distance in :47.77 (2/66).
