Montjeu Colt Fetches 700k at TATOCT

The untimely demise of Montjeu (Ire) will ultimately leave a tremendous void, and the offspring of the late Coolmore sire are still proving to be a very coveted lot. A short time after Coolmore's Demi O'Byrne went to 450,000gns for a Newsells Park-consigned son of Honorlina (Fr) (Linamix {Fr}), the bloodstock agent was back at it, extending to 700,000gns for an Irish-bred son of Lucina (GB) (Machiavellian). The Mar. 24 foal, from the extended female family of the top-class Luso (GB), Warrsan (Ire) and Needle Gun (GB), was bred by Denis Brosnan's Epona Bloodstock Ltd. and was consigned to the October sale by his Croom House Stud agency.
