Montjeu Filly Tops Early Tatts Returns

The four-year-old filly Yummy Mummy (GB) (Montjeu {Ire}–Gryada {GB}, by Shirley Heights {GB}) brought a final bid of 460,000gns from John Warren Bloodstock to top the early returns at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale Monday. Bought back by breeder Plantation Stud for a tenth of the price–46,000gns–as a TATDEC foal four years ago, the bay was once a winner on the track. The decision to keep Yummy Mummy proved wise when her year-younger full brother Fame and Glory (GB) lived up to his name with victories in the G1 Criterium de Saint-Cloud at two and the G1 Irish Derby this year at three. Yummy Mummy sold in foal to Dalakhani (Ire).
