Moore Sits Out Weekend Action

Ryan Moore will miss this weekend's racing action following a nasty incident before the final race at Newmarket on Thursday. Moore's mount Newton's Law became upset in the stalls and parted company with Moore in the process. Although the rider walked away he felt pain in his neck which required medical examination. His agent Tony Hind said on Friday, “He had a scan yesterday and they didn't find anything, but they kept him in overnight and he will be having another precautionary scan just to make sure there's nothing there. He's just taking the weekend off just to err on the side of caution, but he's fine in himself – he's a very tough boy.” Moore had his customary strong book of rides, including Due Diligence (War Front) for Aidan O'Brien in Saturday's G1 July Cup.
