LOOKING READY (c, 2, More Than Ready–Seeknfind, by Giant's Causeway) the 8-5 second favorite behind bet-off-the-board firster Dark Ops (Bernardini), improved for a slightly disappointing debut third going 5 1/2 panels here July 28 and dug in gamely in the final sixteenth of a mile to graduate Thursday at Saratoga. Away neatly from gate three, the homebred flashed good speed, but was pestered to his outside by the well-bred Sea Foam (Medaglia d'Oro) through fractions of :22.63 and :45.90. The latter looked to have dead aim on the front-runner for the length of the stretch, but Looking Ready swatted that one away with about 100 yards to race and came home two lengths to the good. Dark Ops, the 6-5 chalk and half-brother to 'TDN Rising Star' Summer Revolution (Summer Bird), sat an ideal stalking trip from third and was in with every chance in the final furlong, but stayed on at one pace for third. The winner is a son of Seeknfind, a daughter of G1 Prix Maurice de Gheest winner Seeking the Pearl (Seeking the Gold), herself the dam of Japanese MSW Seeking the Dia (Storm Cat). Lifetime Record: 2-1-0-1, $51,100. Click for the Equibase.com chart or VIDEO, sponsored by Fasig-Tipton.
