Gulf Coast Farms principals Jerry Bailey and Lance Robinson had to wait a bit to show a profit on the mare Meadow Silk (Meadowlake), but they made up for lost time at OBSMAR Wednesday. Meadow Silk was bought for $95,000 while in foal to More Than Ready at the 2005 OBSOCT sale; a Gulf Coast homebred by More Than Ready, the first foal out of the mare to go through the ring since her purchase, lit up the board in Ocala, bringing $525,000 from Steven W. Young, agent. The filly is a half-sister to GSW Star Dabbler (Saint Ballado) and SW Run Production (Saint Ballado), from the family of champion Speightstown (Gone West).
