Morning Line Favorite Bustin Stones Scratched from Vanderbilt

Undefeated Bustin Stones (City Zip–Shesasurething, by Prospectors Gamble) has been scratched out of today's GII Alfred Vanderbilt H. at Saratoga with what appears to be a stone bruise in his foot, said trainer Bruce Levine. ìWe schooled him in the paddock yesterday morning around 11:30 and he came back with a little heat in his foot,î Levine said. ìHe's had that before ñ it comes and goes ñ so it didn't really bother me then. This morning, however, his foot was on fire with a pretty good pulse. He's got some sensitivity. He's not lame or anything, but we couldn't run him.î Bustin Stones, the 2-1 morning line favorite, is undefeated in six starts, including a win in the G1 Carter H. in his last race Apr. 5.
