Manager Garrett O' Rourke confirmed Friday afternoon that the Juddmonte horses previously trained by the late Bobby Frankel have been transferred to Hall of Famer Bill Mott. Frankel's former assistant Humberto Ascanio, who saddled Ventura (Chester House) to a career finale win in the GI Matriarch S. Nov. 28, will retain Grade I winner Midships (Mizzen Mast). That homebred is currently on the sidelines. “We were down to about 15 horses,” O'Rourke said. “Bill has already taken over the ones in Florida. It'll be up to him as to where he wants to keep them.”
