Tom Gentry went to $550,000 for hip 199, a Mr. Greeley filly from the Jerry Bailey consignment. Gulf Coast Farm purchased her dam, a half-sister to MGISW Jade Hunter named Bacardi Cat (Tale of the Cat), for $72,000 at KEEJAN in 2005. The operation attempted to sell this dark bay at KEESEP as a yearling, but bought her back at $245,000. Looks as though they made the right call…
