Gainesway announced yesterday that the stud fee for Mr. Greeley (Gone West–Long Legend, by Reviewer) has been raised to $125,000 for 2008. ìMr. Greeley is now one of the top 10 sires in the world,î said Gainesway President Antony Beck. ìHis success in Europe, with dual-classic winner and champion Finsceal Beo, has helped move him to the highest level of racing and commercial success.î Beck added, ìThis year, Mr. Greeley had 20 individual yearlings sell for $300,000 or more, including the $2.2-million sale topping colt at Saratoga. His new stud fee is being set by the marketplace, and the mares our fellow breeders have already committed to him are truly outstanding.î
