Connections of Namhroodah (Ire) (Sea The Stars {Ire}), who was demoted from first to third for allegedly causing interference in the July 22 Listed Valiant S. at Ascot, have announced they will appeal that decision. The 4-year-old was deemed to have interfered with the third-past-the-post Irish Rookie (Ire) (Azamour {Ire}). Namhroodah's disqualification handed the win to second-home Red Box (GB) (Exceed and Excel {Aus}), with Irish Rookie moving up to second.
Namhroodah is trained by James Tate for Saeed Manana, and the owner's racing manager Bruce Raymond said, “James is going to appeal the decision. Saeed Manana would like to go ahead with the appeal as he feels that he has got a good case.”
