Woodbine's Natalma S., which was used by Catch a Glimpse (City Zip) as a stepping stone to victory in the GI Breeders' Cup Juvenile Fillies Turf last year, has been upgraded to Grade I status by The Jockey Club of Canada for 2016. The grassy event for juvenile fillies joins the Canadian International, Woodbine Mile, Northern Dancer and E.P. Taylor S. as Grade I events held north of the border. “Woodbine is extremely proud to be the home of the now Grade I Natalma S.,” said Jim Lawson, CEO of Woodbine Entertainment Group. “The Natalma has always been a well-regarded race by both horsepeople and horseplayers and this upgrade will only amplify its stature. Woodbine and its E.P. Taylor Turf Course have been host to world-class racing for decades and will continue to do so for many more.” For the complete list of Canada's 44 graded stakes to be held in 2016, click here.
