A trio of Thoroughbreds–Horses of the Year Azeri and Point Given and the multi-millionaire Best Pal–and jockey Randy Romero have been elected to the National Museum of Racing's Hall of Fame, it was announced Friday morning. The Hall of Fame unveiled a new voting process this year, with 10 finalists from a variety of categories on the ballot. The four getting the most votes became the newest Hall of Famers. Also on the ballot this year were distaffers Open Mind, Safely Kept and Sky Beauty, jockey Alex Solis, and trainers Gary Jones and Robert Wheeler. This year's induction ceremony is scheduled for Aug. 13 at the Fasig-Tipton sales pavilion in Saratoga Springs, New York.
