Newgate Farm is set to stand eight stallions in 2016, with A$7-million earner Criterion (NZ) (Sebring) the latest addition to the roster. A son of G1 Golden Slipper winner and leading sire Sebring, the Sir Owen Glenn homebred captured four wins at the highest level throughout his career, including the G1 Rosehill Guineas and G1 BMW Australian Derby. He will stand for A$35,750.
“We are proud to present our 2016 stallion roster,” said Bruce Slade, Newgate Director of Stallions and Sales. “It reflects Newgate's firm focus to offer breeders the best looking and best performed young stallions in the land at great value. Criterion is a rare commodity. Every breeder dreams of producing one as handsome as him, never mind as fast!”
He concluded, “We are very grateful that Sir Owen Glenn and his family have entrusted Criterion's future to our team at Newgate.”
