NH Yearlings Feature At Arqana

Arqana's Autumn Sale continued at a similar pace as last year during it's second session on Tuesday, which featured National Hunt-bred yearlings. A total of 124 lots sold fetched €2,165,000, with a buyback rate of 32.2% that was up two points from last year. The average was down 5.1% at €17,460, while the median remained steady at €11,000.

Topping trade was lot 336, a son of Saint Des Saints (Fr) plucked from the Hamel Stud draft by Hubert Barbe of Horse Racing Advisory, who had also bought the two most expensive horses-in-training during Monday's opening session. The price tag on Tuesday's session topper was €125,000.

Two other lots made six figures, both colts: lot 274, a son of Blue Bresil (Fr), made €115,000 to the bid of Agence Fips, while lot 356, another son of Saint Des Saints, was picked up by Sarl Guillaume Macaire for €110,000.

The Arqana Autumn Sale concludes on Wednesday with a session of flat-bred yearlings.
