SATONO GREEN (c, 3, Forestry–Above Heaven, by Mr. Greeley) came to life in his latest, completing a U.S.-bred quinella behind the impressive Soleil de Paris (Lemon Drop Kid) over this course and distance May 27 (video, gate 14). The latter, some seven lengths clear that day, returned to double his win tally at Tokyo June 17. Owned by Hajime Satomi, whose Satono Crown (Jpn) (Marju {Ire}) runs in the G1 Takarazuka Kinen at Hanshin later Sunday, the bay is a maternal grandson of GISW Lady Joanne (Orientate), a half-sister to Classic winner Shackleford (Forestry), MGSWs Baghdaria (Royal Academy) and Afleeting Lady (Afleet Alex) and SW & GSP Stephanoatsee (A.P. Indy). Satono Green was purchased by Satomi for ¥24.8 million (about US$223k) at the 2016 Chiba Thoroughbred Sale.

Scat Daddy has had a Royal Ascot for the ages in England and DERMA KISEKI (f, 2, –Tashawak {Ire}, by Night Shift) will face five boys and three fellow fillies in her career unveiling. A daughter of Sheikh Hamdan's 2002 G2 Falmouth S. victrix Tashawak who was a half-sister to 1999 G2 Ribblesdale S. winner Fairy Queen (Ire) (Fairy King) and to SW & G1SP Acropolis (Ire) (Sadler's Wells), the March foal was hammered down to Shadai Farm for $225K at last year's Keeneland September sale from the Paramount Sales draft.
